How to add WhatsApp and Telegram to Claude.ai as a custom connector
Ask Claude about your WhatsApp and Telegram messages from claude.ai, without a key or a terminal.
Claude.ai connects to remote MCP servers as custom connectors and signs in with OAuth. You never paste a key: you sign in to Felku, choose what Claude may do, and can take that access back whenever you want.
Step by step
Connect WhatsApp or Telegram in the Felku dashboard and add the people Claude may see to your contact
list. Messages from anyone else are dropped on arrival.
In claude.ai, open Settings › Connectors (on some versions, Customize › Connectors) and choose
Add custom connector.
Name:
Felku. URL:https://mcp.felku.com.br/mcp. Add it.Click Connect. You land on Sign in to Felku; sign in with your Felku account.
On Authorize claude.ai on Felku, choose the connection and keep Read only (already selected), or pick
Read and send. Then click Allow.
In a chat, turn on the Felku connector and ask: "show my Felku connection status". Claude calls
felku_get_connection_status. Then: "what did my clients send on WhatsApp today?".
See or revoke Claude's access
In the Felku dashboard, open Agents and keys. Claude shows up in the Keys list as
claude.ai, with a
prefix starting with fko_oauth, the dates it was created and last used, and its permissions (with Read only: Connections: view, WhatsApp: read, Telegram: read).
Revoke there takes Claude.ai's access to Felku away.
What Claude can and can't do
It only sees chats from contacts on your list, in one-to-one chats, and only messages that arrived after you
connected (unless you imported history when connecting). Groups don't arrive in felku_read_new_messages; a group the owner enabled is read with felku_read_group_messages.
With Read only, it can't send. With Read and send, every send goes through the same server limits as any
agent: a few messages an hour on a newly connected number, at most 3 first messages a day (fewer if you choose), and a pause if the connection starts failing.
The WhatsApp connection is unofficial (a linked device, like WhatsApp Web). WhatsApp can restrict a number at any
time; the limits lower that risk, they don't remove it. Use a spare number.
